Nasunugan Watchtower

Location Brgy. San Roque, Biliran, Biliran

 The most extensive archeological curiosity in the province are the Nasunugan Ruins (which means burned ruins), a half-hectare complex of structural ruins on a hilltop near the highway just outside the poblacion of Biliran town.

For nearly a decade now, only the restored Nasunugan Watchtower, a Spanish era structure made of coral stone blocks, was known to outsiders, since its picture was printed on postcards and tourist brochures.

**TINAGO FALLS**

The Tinago Waterfall is the most famous falls of Biliran Island. Its a very popular tourist attraction known throughout the Philippines and is held is high regard by everyone in Biliran Province. The Falls are large and very impressive as the water flows with great power, arching down into a large pool below. Its a great location to take photos from the rocks surrounding the falls and the watchtower.

The most hypnotic waterfalls magnificently lay its beauty in the heart of Caibiran rainforest, a loop trail taking 10 minutes from the highway. A hideaway that blends perfectly for nature lovers; rich blend of trees, vines, & other exotic plants accompanied by the cooling & enchanting sounds of rushing streams

How do I get there?

The Tinago Falls is in Cabibihan Baranagy, part of Caibiran Municipality, Biliran Island. The Waterfalls are well signposted from the cross country road of Biliran Island. Many local people of Biliran Province dont get the chance to visit all the delights of the Island, but most get to Tinago, so asking directions to the Falls in never a problem. A newly built road takes you from the main road down the valley most of the way to the falls, just leaving you to go down some steps and a few hops and jumps across some rocks to get the best view.
